  3. Get to Know Julie and Support MADACC

Name:  Julie Willis

Team Name:  Vita Unleashed

AKA:  J-Dog

Occupation:  Vita Trainer & Running Coach

Pet:  Homer Robert, (big) Mini Goldendoodle, 2.5 years old

Describe your Pet’s Personality in 3 words: Fun-loving, Smart, Loves to Dance
What’s the most surprising thing about adopting s/he?  He really re-defined us as a family of three.  We rarely travel without Homer.  We would miss him too much.
What’s the coolest thing about s/he?  He’s up for anything as long as we’re in it together.
If you could have one of you pet’s attributes, what would it be?  His generous spirit! He always forgives a bad moment.  And–he has 4 legs.  If I had 2 more, I could run a lot faster.
Why is supporting MADACC important to you?  Our fur people deserve better.  It literally hurts me to think of their suffering.  MADACC is on the frontline for them.  No other agency can say that.  This isn’t sexy stuff. MADACC is their life-line.

Literally! Our fundraising effort culminates on Saturday, January 28th with the Icebreaker Indoor Marathon Relay at 1:00pm at the Petit National Ice Center. Two Vita teams – a 4 person Trainer team and a 4 person Client team are running for MADACC. We’ll keep you posted on their training progress, and their personal stories about running for such a great cause. We hope you can join us to cheer them on!
