How long have you worked at Vita, and can you tell us a bit about your professional history?
Never did I think I would become a personal trainer or even be good at it! But the idea was planted by MY personal trainer shortly after I moved to Milwaukee. My trainer helped me find the right certification and even helped me obtain a job at my first personal training position. Ultimately, I was introduced to Tommy and Vita through a mutual friend, and here I am over a year later.
Do you have any special areas of interest as a Personal Trainer?
My special interests are running or any other endurance sport. However, my all-time favorite aspect of personal training is helping people get their lives back, whether that means being able to walk up the stairs without any knee pain or being able to get on the floor to play with their grandchildren. That, for me, is really what it is all about.
What takes up your time outside of work?
Right now, I’m training for Racine’s Half Ironman in July, as well as the other races I will end up doing throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Also, my boyfriend and I recently bought a house and brought home a new puppy! So between updating a house and keeping an eye on two dogs, I stay pretty busy.
Name one thing you miss about being a kid:
I’m pretty much a big kid, but I would have to say that I miss being able to take a nap every day and actually have it scheduled in to my day. Some days, I really wish I still had time to do that.
What is your all-time favorite book or movie?
This is a very hard question for me. I love to read, and I’m always open to suggestions or even trading books. And my movie collection is up to around 750 different titles, all of which I have seen. So, I really cannot pick just one title for either.
If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
Anywhere with a beach! I would enjoy a new book and take a really good nap.
What is your hidden talent?
Running out of gas…. which happens so often!!
What is your all-time favorite food?
I love all sorts of foods! My favorites usually depend on what race I’m training for, but I can never turn down Swedish Fish, peanut butter M&Ms, hummus, or pretzels with applesauce (a combination you should definitely try!).
